Place the following items in your recycling cart, or bring them to the city's Recycling Drop-Off Center

METAL FOOD AND BEVERAGE CANS  Rinse and leave on caps and lids
           

GLASS BOTTLES AND JARS  Rinse and remove caps and lids

FOOD AND BEVERAGE CARTONS  Rinse and leave on caps and lids

Juice boxes

Milk cartons

Soup and broth cartons

 

PAPER

Mail, office and school papers

Magazines and catalogs

Newspapers and inserts

Phone books

Paperback books (no hard covers)

Boxes from cereal, crackers, pasta, cake mixes 
Boxes from toothpaste, medications and other toiletries

Shoe boxes

Pop and beer boxes

Cardboard that is flattened

 

PLASTICS rinse and leave on caps and lids
Water, soda, milk and juice bottles
Ketchup and salad dressing bottles
Dish soap and detergent bottles
Shampoo, soap and lotion bottles
Disposable plastic cups and bowls
Clear produce and deli containers
Yogurt, margarine, cottage cheese and other plastic containers up to 9 inches in diameter
Clear rigid plastic packaging from toys and electronics

Clothing and Textile Recycling at Hennepin County Facility
Non-reusable clothes and linens are accepted at Hennepin County Drop-Off Facilities.  Clothes and textiles that can't be reused or donated can be recycled,  diverting these items from the garbage stream.
