Project Overview
The Zachary Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Enhancements Project includes the addition of a plate settler system that will reduce filter backwash settling time, conserve water, and increase the operational efficiency of the existing water treatment facility. Work will include modifications to the interior and exterior of the plant to integrate the enhanced process into the existing system. The project also includes upgrades to the building automation systems (BAS) to the citywide standard and replacement of dehumidification and ventilation systems throughout the facility.
In 2023, the City of Plymouth was awarded $2 million in grant funding through the Community Grants Program administered by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). This grant funding program is designated for the planning , design, and construction of drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater infrastructure and for water quality protection.
