Construction Update

Street Construction to begin in Phase 1 of the Candlelight Terrace Reconstruction Project
Utility installation in Phase 1 of the Candlelight Terrace Reconstruction Project has concluded and street reconstruction will begin in Phase 1 tomorrow, July 12th with installing new base material for the road. Pavement removals have begun in Phase 2 and will continue into next week. The temporary water system on Phase 2 has been set up and houses will be in hooked up in the next week for watermain construction to start on Monday, July 22nd. CenterPoint Energy and Michels will be finished installing gas services by early next week.

Project Overview

This project involves the reconstruction of the streets in the Candlelight Terrace neighborhood, as shown on the map. Street reconstruction is an intensive project that completely rebuilds an existing street. The project will include installation of concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer improvements, and replacement of the existing water main.
