The cities of Plymouth and Medina are working together to make improvements to Brockton Lane from Medina Road to Hamel Road. This project will include full reconstruction of the street and converting it from a rural to an urban design to accommodate recent growth, as well as the addition of a trail, turn lanes, utility, and drainage improvements.
The project team is currently finishing up the preliminary design phase of the project. Final design phase will start in December and will last through winter. Bidding will take place in March, 2019, and construction will begin in May. Construction is expected to conclude in October 2019.
Construction will be completed in two stages—Hamel Road to 44th Avenue, and 44th Avenue to Medina Road. Certain segments of the road will be closed to traffic when they are being constructed, but access will be allowed to residents in the project area.
