Engineering, water resources, and recycling staff are located in the lower level of City Hall. 

Current Construction Projects
Public Works complete improvement projects to maintain and protect the city’s investment in the street, utility, and storm water system infrastructure. To view a list of current of city construction projects and updates, visit the Project Spotlight webpage.

For a list of anticipated future projects, the City of Plymouth’s Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) brings together plans for capital expenditures for the city’s streets, water system, sanitary sewer system, park system, water resources and public buildings. This is reviewed and approved by the Plymouth City Council on an annual basis.

Street Signs, Speed Limits, and Crosswalks

Plymouth Water Resources
Plymouth water resources staff monitor and improve water quality in water bodies and wetlands, respond to flooding concerns, and maintain ponds and streams. The following documents provide

Plymouth is located in four watersheds. These agencies have their own regulations and monitor water bodies in collaboration with the City of Plymouth. These include:

  • Basset Creek Watershed Management Commission
  • Elm Creek Watershed Management Organization
  • Minnehaha Creek Watershed District
  • Shingle Creek Watershed Management Organization
