A Home Occupation is a business that is conducted from a person’s home. The city regulates home occupations in order to maintain the character and integrity of residential neighborhoods. There are two types of Home Occupations: “Permitted” and “Licensed.” A permitted home occupation does not require a license. A licensed home occupation requires city approval. Open the dropdowns below to learn more about license requirements and download the application form.

Applications may be submitted via email to planning@plymouthmn.gov or dropped off at the Community and Economic Development counter at Plymouth City Hall.
