Below is a list of the comprehensive plan amendments that have been approved since the adoption of the current plan. To incorporate the changes, the city maintains an updated 2040 Future Land Use Map in Chapter 3 of the Plymouth Comprehensive Plan.
Mission Ponds (2020-072)
On February 9, 2021, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by the Mission Ponds Homeowners Association for a comprehensive plan amendment to reguide the townhome portion of the Mission Ponds subdivision, roughly 7.5 acres of land located at the northwest corner of Zachary Lane and 36th Avenue, from LA-1 (living area-1) to LA-2 (living area-2).
Dundee Redevelopment Site; Twin Cities Orthopedic and Parkera (2021-032)
On August 10, 2021, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by Parkera, LLC for a comprehensive plan amendment to reguide roughly 24-acres of land located at 16800 Highway 55 and 3755 Dunkirk Lane, from C (commercial) and LA-2 (living area 2) to MXD-R (mixed use residential) and P-I (public/semi-public/institutional).
Bassett Creek Apartments (2021-081)
On March 22, 2022, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by Doran RE Partners, LLC for a comprehensive plan amendment to reguide roughly 7.4-acres of land located at 10000 Highway 55, from C-O (business commercial) to MXD (mixed use).
Enclave Development (2022-058)
On August 30, 2022, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by Enclave Companies for a comprehensive plan amendment to reguide roughly 19.0-acres of land located west of Highway 169 and south of Bass Lake Road at Nathan Lane - 5750 Nathan Lane and PID Numbers 01-118-22-42-0049, 01-118-22-42-0007, and 01-118-22-42-0010, from C (commercial) and C-O (commercial office) to MXD (mixed use).
City Center (2023-045)
On September 12, 2023, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by the City of Plymouth for a comprehensive plan amendment to update the City Center vision and design standards, and to increase the allowed density in the CC (city center) guiding from 12 to 20 units per acre, market driven, to 20 to 40 units per acre for multiple family development and 6 to 20 units per acre for townhouses.
Prudential Redevelopment Site; The Boulevard (2023-052)
On September 26, 2023, the Plymouth City Council approved a request by Scannell Properties, LLC for a comprehensive plan amendment to reguide roughly 75-acres located at 13001 County Road 10, from CO (commercial office) to MXD (mixed use).
