April 2025 Update
Current excavation activity on the site relates to a city project to help improve stormwater runoff quality and reduce phosphorous loading on Northwood Lake in New Hope – from existing runoff that comes from upstream properties to the north and flows through the Four Seasons site. The city received a grant from the watershed district to complete this stormwater improvement project.
The city has temporarily paused searching for a developer to redevelop the site while it studies the potential for maintaining ownership of the property and developing sports field space. The city has been researching options to expand field space within the city’s parks inventory to accommodate changing use patterns, specifically for rectangle fields that can accommodate soccer and lacrosse. Any proposal for field space would be in lieu of a mixed-use development as previously envisioned under the current approvals. A city park-and-ride facility would be included under either development scenario.
