The absentee ballot process involves the use of envelopes. The entire absentee balloting (early voting) process can be completed in person beginning 46 days before each election at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. 

Aug. 11 Primary Election - Early/Absentee voting from June 26 through Aug. 10

Nov. 3 General Election - Early/Absentee voting from Sept. 18 through Nov. 2

Absentee ballot hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. Additional extended hours are noted below.

To vote early in person, voters must fill out an application when arriving at City Hall. Election workers will review the application and issue a ballot to vote on site. 

Available 18 days prior to an election, residents can vote in person and place their ballots through a tabulator (just like on election day). For the Aug. 11 Primary Election, early voting with the tabulator is available at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd, during the following dates and times.

You can receive an absentee ballot through the mail by completing the online application process at mnvotes.org under "Other Ways to Vote."

If you’re unable to complete the online application, please call 612-348-5151 to request that an absentee ballot application be sent to you. Upon receipt of completed and signed application, your absentee ballot will be sent to you.

Voters who have applied for and received their ballot in the mail, can return their voted ballot by mail or drop-off at Plymouth City Hall by 5 p.m. on Election Day.

1. Return voted ballot by mail through the U.S. Postal Service via the postage-paid envelope provided with your absentee ballot.

2. Return voted ballot by drop-off at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd (for Plymouth residents only). Ballots may be dropped off by voter or on behalf of voter. Those dropping off a ballot on behalf of a voter must be at least 18 years old and cannot deliver more than three ballots for absentee voters in any one election.

Ballot drop-off hours are same as voting hours noted above.
