The office of the city clerk is located at Plymouth City Hall. The city clerk position is established through the city charter as the official keeper of city records with additional responsibilities outlined in the city code of ordinances. The city clerk and the clerk’s office provides the following services:
- Issues various business and trade licensing
- Prepares council agendas and meeting packets
- Updates the city code of ordinances
- Administers elections
- Provides administrative support to the City Council
- Provides administrative staff support
- Provides notary public services at the front desk during business hours
- Serves as the city’s authority on data practices
