Residents asked to avoid area of 5800 block of Teakwood Lane N. due to gas leak

10:36 a.m. Update: The leak has been contained and repairs are underway.

Plymouth Public Safety crews and CenterPoint Energy are on the scene of a gas leak near the 5800 block of Teakwood Lane N. Though there has been no need to evacuate, firefighters remain on scene and are monitoring the neighborhood. Residents are asked to avoid the area if possible. There may be a lingering smell of natural gas in the area. If residents are concerned about the smell of gas, please call 911.
