The Plymouth History Center will continue its free Story Time series this summer with weekly sessions from 10-10:30 a.m. every Tuesday, June through August at 3605 Fernbrook Lane N. Following the summer series, Story Time will continue with monthly sessions from September to December.

Geared toward families with elementary-age children, the free events are designed to engage younger audiences and spark interest in learning. Each session will feature a story read out loud, followed by a hands-on activity tied to the story’s theme.

Summer 2026 Story Time dates and topics include:

• June 9 – Rocks
• June 16 – Juneteenth
• June 23 – Summer treats
• June 30 – Extreme weather
• July 7 – Fourth of July
• July 14 – Local wildlife
• July 21 – Aviation
• July 28 – Space
• Aug. 4 – Farming
• Aug. 11 – Trains and railroads
• Aug. 18 – Camping
• Aug. 25 – Fruits and vegetables

The events are free and open to the public – registration is not required.

About The Plymouth History Center

Built in 1885 as the town of Plymouth’s municipal building, the museum is open to the public 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the first Saturday of every month. The building features:

• A research room to browse old newspapers, yearbooks and documents
• Audio recording space for oral history projects
• Photos and historical models
• A timeline of the city’s history and more
