Free business counseling available at Plymouth City Hall

Open to Business program offered to Plymouth businessesFree, confidential business counseling is available to small business owners and entrepreneurs during select hours through the Open to Business Program.

Walk-in consultations are typically offered 1-4 p.m. the second Monday of each month at Plymouth City Hall, 3400 Plymouth Blvd. Upcoming Open to Business hours in Plymouth include: 

  • Monday, Oct. 14
  • Monday, Nov. 18
  • Monday, Dec. 9

Schedule Free Business Counseling
Scheduling an appointment for a free consultation is encouraged. Consultation appointments are flexible and are not limited to the walk-in hours offered at City Hall. To schedule an appointment, call Open to Business Program Manager Rob Smolund at 612-843-3260 or email rsmolund@mccdmn.org.

About Open to Business
Open to Business offers free business consultations, financial advisement and business loans to prospective or current entrepreneurs and small business owners. The program is a partnership between the City of Plymouth, Hennepin County and the Metropolitan Consortium of Community Developers.

Those in need of capital can apply for an Open to Business loan through MCCD. Loans range up to $25,000 for startup businesses, with a typical repayment term of three to five years. Larger loans are available for established businesses.

  • Licensing and regulatory assistance
  • Loan packaging and financing
  • Legal references
