Rockford Road repaving project set to begin May 1
According to Hennepin County, a paving project on Rockford Road (County Road 9) between Dunkirk and Polaris lanes in Plymouth is set to begin Wednesday, May 1.
This work will be completed in stages. County crews will grind away the existing pavement, pave a new layer of pavement and then add striping and pavement markings.
Due to the nature of this work and the weather, project dates are subject to change. The project is expected to be complete in roughly two to three weeks, weather permitting.
Motorists Should Expect Delays
The road will be open to traffic during the project – but motorists should expect delays, as well as day-to-day traffic configuration changes. Flaggers will be on site to help guide vehicles.
For the safety of motorists and crews working on the project, please obey all posted speed limits and slow down while crews are working.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation.
