Riding Out the EAB Wave

Plymouth residents are invited to attend "Riding Out the EAB Wave," a presentation about Emerald Ash Borer, 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at the Plymouth Creek Center's Black Box Theatre.

Residents may ask questions and learn more about the options available to them. Presenters include city forestry staff and commercial tree service representatives.

The first case of Emerald Ash Borer was confirmed in the City of Plymouth in 2015. The small, invasive insect infects ash trees and spreads quickly, typically killing a majority of ash trees in its path.

The presentation will help answer the following questions regarding EAB:

  • How has it spread?
  • What is the city doing to slow down this infestation?
  • What should residents be doing with their own ash trees?
  • What options/methods do commercial tree care companies offer?
