Plymouth’s annual winter festival, the 31st-annual Fire & Ice festival is set for 3-7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1 at Parkers Lake Park, off County Road 6 and Niagara Lane.

To combat the cold, attendees can warm up at a bonfire with s’mores and hot chocolate, while supplies last, sponsored by Step by Step Montessori. Food trucks will also be on site. The finale of the event – fireworks sponsored by the Plymouth Civic League – will begin around 6:30 p.m.
A brand new coloring contest will be offered this year. Submissions can be dropped of at Plymouth Parks & Recreation office (located within Plymouth City Hall) or Plymouth Creek Center (14800 34th Ave N). All entries must be received by Friday, January 24 at 4:30 p.m. Finalists will be notified Tuesday, January 28th and invited for the judging at Fire & Ice on Saturday, February 1 at 4:30 p.m. (Parkers Lake Park, Showmobile Stage).
Categories in order of contest:
- Preschool (ages 5 & under)
- Youth (ages 6-8 years)
- Youth (ages 9-12 years)
- Teens (ages 13-17 years)
Free Shuttle Service
Free shuttles to and from the event will run from 3:30-7:30 p.m. at the following locations:
- St. Philips the Deacon,17205 County Road 6
- Parkers Lake Baptist Church, 14720 County Road 6
Stop by the Showmobile Stage between 3 - 5:45 p.m. to pick up a Fire & Ice Scavenger Hunt Stamp Card. Visit the 6 listed activities and collect a stamp at each checkpoint. Return the card to the Showmobile Stage by 5:45 p.m. to enter for a chance to win a prize. You are not required to participate in the activity before collecting the stamp. A winner will be drawn and announced at 5:45 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.
Fire & Ice is free, aside from food trucks, and open to the public.
