To help maintain a high level of water quality, the City of Plymouth typically flushes water mains in the spring and fall. During water main flushing, your water could be rusty and you may notice a reduction in water pressure. These conditions are more likely on the day crews are flushing mains in your neighborhood. Avoid doing laundry on that day. If you notice discolored water, let your outdoor water faucet run until the water is clear.
Water main flushing schedules are publicized in the city newsletter, local newspapers and on this city website.
