Firefighter in truckFast-Paced Environment
The Plymouth Fire Department provides plenty of opportunities for members to be active through incident response and public education.

The blend of services provides an active environment for members and supports the department's mission statement – "Making a difference through emergency response, customer service and community education."

The Fire Department responds to approximately 1,500 calls per year. Of those calls, about 10 percent are fire related, 15 percent are rescue and emergency medical service and 10 percent are hazardous materials calls.

In addition to response calls, firefighters spend hundreds of hours providing public education in schools, homes and community organizations through programs such as fire prevention, home alone workshops and more.
