Plymouth Firefighters2016 Compensation
Paid-on-call firefighters are paid an hourly rate based upon training level and time in grade, and are compensated for all activities performed while conducting Fire Department business (training, call response, facility and equipment maintenance, public education, etc.). The current hourly wage scale for firefighters is $11.53 to $14.14.

Pension

  • Defined-benefit pension plan, with partial vesting at five years of service
  • Eligibility for full benefit at age 50, with 20 years of service
  • Current pension payout is $9,500 per year of service
