The Plymouth Fire Department provides innovative fire suppression, technical rescue, hazardous material response and public education programming to residents, businesses and visitors in the City of Plymouth. The full-service department operates with a staffed station program and a traditional page-out system from three strategically located fire stations.
The mission of the Plymouth Fire Department:
"Making a difference through emergency response, customer service and community education."
The Plymouth Fire Department responds to an array of fire, emergency, traffic crash and medical calls in addition to providing mutual aid to other communities. Plymouth uses a combination of full-time employees and paid-on-call firefighters to serve the community.
Comprehensive Community Education
In addition to fire service, Plymouth firefighters spend hundreds of hours each year providing public safety education in schools, homes and community organizations including fire prevention, child passenger safety, water safety and more.
